Sound distortion in Animate

My mp3 voiceover sounds like it has a serious reverb and lisp when I import it into Animate. One issue I found was that it was given to me at 44.1 kHz 32-bit. I read that Animate does better with 16-bit so I went to Audition, changed the file to 16-bit and reimported into Animate. Same result. What else might be going on? I've worked with voiceovers before and never had this issue.

try a previous (to 21.0.8) version. there are some bugs related to sound and the current animate (though that's not an issue i've seen before and can't duplicate on a pc), esp with macs.

try a previous (to 21.0.8) version, i had the same issues and it gt resolved.

I think you may be right. I do have the 21.0.8 version and this isn't the only problem I'm having with sound. Thanks for your help.
