Sound not Editable

My student was trying to edit the sound inside Animate. It is imported and on the timeline. But when the frame is seclected there the edit icon is still dark and not able to edit. If anyone has any ideas on how we can please respond. Screen shot below.

i don't think canvas sounds are editable in animate. use audition.

Thanks for the reply. Can I please ask what a canvas sound is?

I can insert a MP3 file and edit on my laptop but this student did the same thing (different sound file) and it didn't work for them.

i don't think you can edit sounds imported into a canvas project.
