Special (Swedish) caracter set

Hi,

I have a flash/AS3 based home page with a contact form that sends me email.

When i receive emails it looks like this: "du har mÃ¥ste jag säga. Hälsa". It should look like this: "du har måste jag säga. Hälsa"

The problem seems to be the Swedish characters: "Åå Ää Öö".

I have been looking around but have not found a solution, anyone have an idea how to fix this?

The problem is not on the Flash-side, instead you have to check how your server handles the mail, the best method to make sure that the data is saved properly, is to write it to database, which is able to handle utf-8 characters. For details I would need your server specs, especially the php-Version and kind of database it uses.

Well i use a Swedish provider named Loopia (www.loopia.se), i'll check

with them.
