Stage color not included when exporting to GIF

I have a stage color set to #0B0E16 but when I export to GIF I get transparent or white.  I would expect the stage color to be included or for there to be an option in the export presets. Any suggestion how to include stage color with export please?

    I totally agree with Joseph Labrecque.

    Surest way - like in After Effects - is to simply create a solid shape with the desires stage color as the bottom-most layer.
