SVG as Separate File in Asset Folder

When I publish my Animate file, the SVG placed in the JS file is so large that it slows down any of the Javascipt. All the functionality is painfully slow or not operating correctly. Is there a way to have the SVG file by itself in the asset folder to free up the JS folder?
