SWF creeping slow. Why?

Guys (and girls) im outta it. The Flash files i created for a project are WAY WAY too slow in terms of time of reaction. I can take seconds to simply show a rollOver state on a given mc. And very erratic behaving.

I did other projects before without any problem.

Its slow local, on the server, standalone, in browser, well EVERYWHERE!!!!

Any clue where i could start looking?

strip your flash file back as much as you can while still encountering the problem. hopefully you'll be able to strip it back to just one problematic movieClip and related actionscript. once there, try using the button scripting on a different movieclip, to see if its the contents of your original movieclip which are making the button act strange. now you have narrowed down where the problem is occurring you can have a closer look at the problematic areas. if you're still having problems with your code, post the problematic actionscript here.
