SWF scaling in HTML

When inserting an .swf file into an HTML page
Is there any drawback to using percents for width & height? Or is it a must to use standard pixel format?
I want the .swf to use as much of the viewable area as possible but still be scaleable when menu bars are added.

I would stick with pixels all the way, especialy if you have any images in you swf. You should look for some tutorials on how to make a full browser flash file if you really need that functionality... Try going to gotoandlearn.com
