Symbol disappears in "test movie" render

I have a graphic symbol of an arm that I have used in many scenes of an animation.  When I use "Test Scene" for the scenes it is used in individually, the symbol appears in the render, but when I use "Test Movie" it is missing from all the scenes it is used in.  Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

    **Update: I turned on "Optimize for After Effects" in the publish settings and it seems to have fixed it.

    Glad your sorted out the issue - still tho, it's bizarre to me that the publish setting for AE was the solution.
