Testing with HTML 5 Canvas = Blank Screen Tab

For a class, I have to make a 30-second clip that can be stopped or resumed throughout but when I go to test the clip it opens up a tab on my browser(Which I believe it should) and it shows a blank screen. This hasn't happened with the last project I needed to test so what might the issue be?
