The future of Animate (regarding Flash Player)

Hello,

I wonder if you can help me. I’m writing with regards to the official Adobe announcement that Flash Player will be discontinued in 2020 (https://theblog.adobe.com/adobe-flash-update/).

The company I work for uses Adobe Animate extensively to produce work for clients, publishing to .exe, .app and mobile AIR apps. We are concerned and wondering: as these files contain SWF and Flash Player, will that still be possible to publish them using Animate (in future releases)?

Thank you,

Asia

SWF isn't going away, just the browser Flash Player plugin. SWF is still important for AIR and animating for video, and standalone projectors.
