Hi i recently got adobe animate and have not been able to open it since. It has been one issue after another. I thought maybe it was windows 10 that was the issue but it seems that is not the case as i downgraded to win 7.

Hello,

The problem is that the Update for Windows 7 (KB2999226) which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 failed to install.

Solution Install Windows Updates: Go to Start - Control Panel - Windows Update Check for updates Install all available updates.

After the updates are installed, restart your computer.

After the restart repeat the steps above again until no more updates are available.

Download the Visual C++ Redistributable:

For Windows 64-bit http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/3/F/93FCF1E7-E6A4-478B-96E7-D4B285925B00/vc_redist.x64.exe

For Windows 32-bit http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/3/F/93FCF1E7-E6A4-478B-96E7-D4B285925B00/vc_redist.x86.exe

Run the vcredist_x64.exe (64-bit) or vcredist_x86.exe (32-bit) according to what bit your machine is, and select uninstall > run the .exe again and select Install.

Yeah... you broke my pc. it won't start again. I know it's not really your fault right. it may work for others but my pc is broken. I'm replying from my phone. I don't even have a windows cd to install again... Anyone reading this don't be discouraged to try this. I'm sure it will work for some but. if you do not have a legit version of Windows don't try this. not that I don't. I'm a beta tester for Windows 10. but I did downgrade so maybe it messed it up. I'll be back to post an update tomorrow. hopefully I can fix this.
