Timecode on video player

HI everyone,

Im designing multi-functional video player (with basicaly every function you can think of on it) using CS4. Does anyone have the AS3 code for a timecode (counter) for time elapsed? I have found several options for this but they are netstream and the rest of the player isnt using netstream.

Can it only be done that way?
