Timeline mode switch

Hi im having problems on how to change the timelinethe timeline is in squares, does any body know how to swich it to the dots.regular mode?

Try the hamburger menu at the top-right of Timeline:

If that is not enough, go to Edit > Preferences and choose Expert Preferences.
