and i don't see a bug because library symbol editing is independent of any parent timeline, so that would be a feature request. both are made at the same place, https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

Thanks Kglad. Yes, I submitted there too. I feel unheard as I'm given no feedback from Adobe when I submit reasonable requests or bugs. Thus, I spread the news around in different places so that it might get picked up at some point.

p.s. adobe employees actually check that bug/feature form, but they don't do a good job of giving feedback.
