toplevel.as not found

I have just started having a problem when I test my flash 8 files. It gives an error message that it can't find toplevel.as and says to check the classpath in the preferences. The file is there. I also did a repair reinstall just to make sure the file was not corrupt, and added other classpaths where the file can be found. Nothing helps. I've seen the problem posted several times, but never a solution that worked.

Any ideas?

I fixed it myself. What I think did it was moving the Toplevel.as file from:

C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash 8\en\First Run\Classes

to

C:\Documents and Settings\arichardson\Local Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash 8\en\Configuration\Classes

although, I'm not completely sure. If it happens again, I'll try your suggestion.

Thought from your post that you already did that. It's the first thing you should try. As a last resort, logging in as another user also seems to fix the problem (well, fix...).
