Question

transform tool is too clumsy in Adobe Animate

I'm a frame by frame animator and often use previously made lines or objects whenever inbetweening my animation. Thats what I always liked about flash and working with vectors. Anyways, I recently switched to Adobe Animate from cs 5.5 and noticed the transform tool is too clumsy for subtle stuff compared to the older version.

Lets say im animating on 2's and I need to make a inbetween to ease in/out my animation. To avoid making my animation look too wobbly I'll just copy paste the linework from previous frames and use the transform tool to resize bits and pieces by a hair. That way I save a lot of time and get a better result then trying to hand draw it from scratch.

The problem is I can't do that anymore since I switched to adobe animate. Whenever I select my line/object with Transform tool while holding CTRL and try to modify it by a few pixels. It jumps too much and its very clingy. It acts like the magnet is turned on.

Hopefully I was clear what I meant and would be grateful if theres a fix.

    Using the latest version.

It's doing that because of the default snapping options. They're under View -> Snapping, I believe. Go disable whichever ones are causing you trouble.

And it's okay to just say "tween". Trust me, we'll know what you're talking about.
