Just learning Animate- why would you use a movie clip symbol vs graphic? Also is it only a movie clip that allows filters and effects?

Movie Clips are for interactive projects and can be controlled with code.

Graphic Symbols are for non-interactive animation.

Do not use Movie Clips unless you have a very good idea why you chose that over a Graphic Symbols.

In recent versions of Animate you can apply Filters to keyframes and that includes Graphic symbols.

Effects could always be applied to Graphic Symbols.
