unable to change audio sync options in flash mx 2004

I am using flash mx 2004, and I cannot change the audio sync to stream in order for it to match with the timeline/stop the audio when I stop playing the timeline. In the properties panel, I have the sound and effect options, but no sync option under it like there is supposed to be. 😞 Help!
