Unexpected file format in Flash 8 when opening rigs?

I decided to start using rigs in flash 8, and all the rigs i download are in .fla format. however, when i open them i get an error, "Unexpected file format." can i fix this??? any help would be appreciated.
sorry this is in animate cc by the way, couldnt find the macromedia flash thingy! !
