Uploading and downloading using flash ??

Hi, i need some help, time is running out!

I have a website in flash, which is connected to a servlet and to a database.
I need to know if i can allow users of my website to upload pics and download text files using falsh as my interface?
The problem is there dosen't seem to be a component in falsh that allows the user to browse for the file they want to upload.

Just wondering if this can be done in flash or not??
And if so is ther alot of action script involved?
