URGENT: We need "AIR for Android" target in Animate CC to support for Google's 64-bit requirement and fix Android Q crashes by August 2019
Hello.
Adobe AIR needs an update to support 64-bit APKs since Google will stop accepting 32-bit only APKs in August 2019.
This tracker issue was published 4 months ago. And it's a very important issue, not a bug that only a couple of developers stumbled on. No, it's something that affects 100% percent of the developers. And in these 4 months, nobody from Adobe AIR's staff bothered to reply in the tracker:
Nobody from the Adobe AIR team dropped even a single one-liner reply in 4 months!!!
Can someone from the Animate CC team contact them somehow? Adobe AIR is deeply linked to Animate CC since it's the framework that makes Animate CC creations work in Android and iOS devices.
Any comment from someone working at Adobe about when can we expect an update solving these issues?
- Adding 64-bit support to Adobe AIR for Android (Google will ban 32-bit apps in August)
- Fixing crashes in Android Q: Each and every AIR app ever made up to now (or compiled for Android with Animate CC) does CRASH in Android Q. A new version of the compiler is needed to solve this.
I hope someone from the Adobe team reads this and can provide a reply.
Thanks for reading.
