Question

Using LocalConnection on PocketPC

Hi,

We are trying to port an application from desktop to Windows CE 5.0 (FP7), the problem is that everything which uses the localConnection class doesn't work.
Is that a limitation of Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC or is that me who doesn`t know the "tricks"? ;)

Other Flash movies (published as Flash 7) which don't use LocalConnection work fine.

Best Regards

Thanks GWD for helping.

I think the problem is related to security issues. But I don't know how to overcome that.

Anybody?

Hi GWD,

Thanks very much for the reply!
But is the Flash 7 for Pocket PC (The one we are using) based on Flash Lite 2.0?
I didn't find the link for "Unsupported Classes" for FP7 for Pocket.

I can't remember where, but I saw once FP7 Pocket PC is a FULL port of FP7 for Desktop, so I think it should work. What do you think?

Sorry, I am new to that stuff.

Thanks very much.

Sorry I may have given you misleading info... I'm a bit confused by it. My PPC runs WM 5.0 and I see Flash Lite 2.1 for WM 5.0 and flash player 7 for PPC both available.

Maybe others know more.

Unfortunately for Flash Lite 2.0 looks like its not supported. And I can't see any obvious way to get around it.
