Using PNG_no registration point

Hello,

I have been using PNG's for some time.
I can easely move the transformation point. I have never seen a registration point.
Since we can't open the PNG like a symbol I am assuming there is no registration point ?

Is this right?

    Yes, symbol is just a wrapper with a timeline.

    What I do is put all PNGs for a character as frames in one symbol. I also mask them so that selecting with KineFlex works better.

    Then use this symbol to put inside other symbols.

     

    If you need to do edits, re-import and so on, you only have to deal with your master container.

    The power of Flash comes from using nesting in creative ways.

     

    I've been thinking to do a tutorial about a real paper cutout workflow, but it may be a few months away.

    We did some tests last year.

    Best approach is to put your PNGs into graphic symbols.

    Only symbols have Registration Points.

    OK.

    Does it retain the same image quality as long as I don't oversize the image?

    So, as a practice I should change all my PNG's into symbols!

    I never thought about that!
