Viewing Whole Project as Onionskin while Inside Symbol

I used to double click double click the symbol I wanted to edit and the I could see the rest of  the project as background. But since I changed PC and installed animate again everything disappear. The same happens when i press edit in place in the edit menu. Can anyone help ( save) me?
