Weird kerning in adobe Animate

I'm working on HTML5 ads, and I use the Open Sans font. Everything was working perfectly fine until Animate decided to mess around with the kerning on all my project files. I've already tried using the kerning option, checking and unchecking auto-kerning, and following all the suggestions I've found in different discussions about this issue, but nothing works... I'm completely lost.

I just noticed that not all fonts have this issue; for example, Proxima Nova works perfectly fine.

I'm working on a mackbook pro m3 pro, sonoma 14.2.1. 

Can someone help?
