When I open a symbol it opens a completely different one

When I try to open a symbol, it opens a different one. While sometimes I can open the symbol that I want, other times, it won't and will close the symbol bar. This animation worked fine with no issue for the past few months until recently and it wasn't an update that is doing this. And symbols I can get to won't work as they should and just be frozen in place.
