Question

Where to find Adobe Animate backups on the cloud?

The other day Animate CC 2020 crashed, and when I opened it many of my preferences (including fill brush shapes, some UI, and keyboard shortcuts) were missing, with only my custom workspaces and .jsfl commands left. I tried fixing it by reinstalling with my preferences saved and it didn't fix the issue. Now I'm thinking the easiest solution would be to find a cloud save from before the crash, but I'm not sure if that's even an option that exists? If that's something I can do, how do I?

there's no "cloud" save, unless you explicitly saved something (and that wouldn't be a fla).  you could have a fla file synced, but that's unlikely, too.

you can check for a backup* fla, but that won't contain any preferences.  what about your custom workspace?  you saved it and now it's not listed among the workspaces?

    *

open AutoRecoverFilenames.txt** and see if there was a saved file and, if so, check the folder location listed

    **

    win:

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\<animate version>\en_US\Configuration

    mac:

    Users/<username>/Application Support/Adobe/<animate/flash version>/en_US/Configuration/
