Hi, Thanks for your answer. Well,  there are many xml files. So what should be its name or where it would be located in? I am a bit confused and your help would be really appreciated!

Thank you!

kglads suggestion of going to AIR 24 may work, and if it does you can reselect AIR 25 afterwards.

Meanwhile, the XML I mean would most likely be sat next to the FLA. So for example, if your FLA is called MySuperGame.fla, I would expect there to be MySuperGame-app.xml, and that's the one I'm talking about.

I think it won't be the application preferences that are wrong, but the app-descriptor XML. You didn't say what AIR you're doing, but in all cases there is an XML file that is written when you test or publish. That file gets read in when you go into AIR publishing settings, and if it's corrupt it could lead to a crash.

Look for the file that is named something like appname-app.xml. Either open it in an XML editor to try and fix what went wrong, or just delete the file and go back into the AIR publishing settings again. A new file will be made, but you will have to re-enter the details.
