why setInterval...

Anyone know why the value used in setInterval work correctly in Flash Player standalone and too slow when put swf in HTML and play it with browser?

that's an issue with the flash player. the same player version on different platforms can have different performance.

i don't think there's much you can do to improve performance if you want to animate your drawing.

sigh...i have understood, maybe i try another way to improve the performance, thanks anyway for the time that you have spent to solve my problem.

it's strange if the players are the same version and they're displaying content from the same location. is the stand-alone player running locally and the browser loading something via the internet?

yes, but the movie is slow also when it run on the browser locally.
every time it work on the browser, Explorer, Opera or Firefox.

effectively the browser is updated with Flash Player 9 and the swf has been created with Flash8 but is however strange this behavior...or not?
