Why the sudden inability to review swf files?

Literally in the last week my iMac and PC have stopped being able to open swf files. Clicking on the swf to review it from file folders. 

Control alt enter quick review of swf in Animate it fine (swf view window comes up) but not clicking on any swf files.

Neither my pc or Mac have been updated recently.

Can't download a flash player from anywhere now. Is there some Adobe swf player alt I don't know about? 

 

Please don't phase out swf's Adobe, its how we make animation for TV and Film. Please bring back swf's into Premiere 😂

    Associate the .swf extension to the flash player. In Windows, the player is located in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Animate 2023\Players\FlashPlayer.exe

    No Flash Player exe in Animate 23 or 22

    Missed a folder sorry, It's there in the Player folder thanks

    if you have animate installed, you have a flash player.
