will deleting and redownloading animate lose any of my project files?

such a stupid question, but will deleting and redownloading animate lose any of my project files? i’m almost certain it won’t, especially since my files are on a separate hard drive, but i just wanted to be absolutely positive nothing will be deleted. 

animate has been extremely buggy for me lately. simple things such as drawing a circle within a circle, using the paint bucket to fill in the outer ring, and it filling in both circles. stuff like that. i’ve called the help center twice and their fixes either don’t help or are temporary. would deleting and redownloading in this scenario be the fix?
