Working with Text In Animate

Selecting text or trying to type is very slow.  The problem just started the other day after Animate updated to version 20.  I also could not export a movie with an alpha channel so I reverted back to 19.21.  Alpha channel works now but the text is still super slow.  Also, something I thought was odd... It takes a few seconds to open Preferences.
