This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

Hey,

It seems I want to much of xml. Defined in the xml as

<pages>

<page id="home" x="100" y="10" title="BIG TITLE"
bg="set-01-cut.jpg">

<column w="220" h="300" title="Subtitle">

<![CDATA[<C1>Body tekst formatted by
an external css file</C1>]]>

</column>

</pages>

I have breaks in the subtitles of my design, and the way this is defined
it leaves no room for html/css formatting.

Id, title and body are defined in actionscript, body and title even as
htmlText, but unsurprisingly of no avail.

Started out as a graphic flash user, I am not that familiar with xml, so
if someone here can clear things up for me, I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance

Sorry, I couldn't find a question in there...

However, I do believe your XML is malformed - in your column tag, you have
column C1 within the CDATA... the XML parser isn't going to see C1 that
way... I believe you want it like so:

<C1><![CDATA[Body test formatted by an external css file]]></C1>

Indeed,
I haven't been clear.

C1 is CSS selector. It's read when the xml data is imported by flash and
then run through the css. I believe that part works right now.
My question is how to text format a variable like "title", inside
<page>. I want to get the subtitle text to break like

Sub
Title
Text

Instead of "Sub Title Text"

I've already set the textfields to html, (by actionscript) but it won't
read the variable "title" with tags inside.

I am not able to understand what is your exact problem but if it is integration of CSS data with XML then it is simple as u can directly ass css in your textField. Use stylesheet property of TextField and put HTML=true
i think your job wil be done
