XML not exporting

I'm trying to export a sprite sheet, but can't because everytime I do export it, all I'm left with is the image, and the .xml is nowhere to be found! Does this issue have anything to do with the fact that I'm using the trial version?

      unrelated to trial version and probably because you're not using a data format that exports an xml.  try starling, for example:
