Audio distortion when stretching audio

When I use the "Stretch and Pitch" process, and have "Lock stretch and pitch shift (re-sample)" selected, AND "Constant Vowels" selected, I get horrible distortion in the file once it's processed. I'm using the Audition algorithm on the "High" precision setting. If I uncheck "constant vowels", the file will process normally without any audio distortion.
