Playback fails after sleep

Question

Steps to reproduce:
    Open an audio file, record an audio file, open or start a multitrack session, then let the computer sleep

Result: Playback and Record stop functioning until you reboot.
Expected: Audition should not break when the system goes to sleep.

System info
    Application: Audition (Beta) v14.4.0.37
    OS: macOS v11.4.0, RAM: 8.00 GB, CPUs (logical): 8

I just discovered that if you change to another program like Premiere Pro, then change back and save the audio file or the multi-track session you are working on, playback will resume. At least it has been working that way for the last few hours.
