ACR 13 "there was an error writing metadata"

Dell XPS laptop Win 10 64-bit  ACR13  Bridge 8.1.0  PSCC 21.2.4 

Just updated all 3 plus updated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1030

Now I cannot add metadata to any images. No images are read only. Reverted to ACR 12.2.1 as suggested on a thread and the problem persists.

This has effectively halted my workflow.
