ACR 9.12 Won't sync settings

Having trouble with Camera Raw 9.12.0.784  using Windows 7 - 64

Just today I am trying to edit and tweak 1800 Canon .cr2 files and when I select more than one file in ACR and choose "Sync Settings" as I always do, ACR doesn't change the settings of the other files selected. This also happens if I save an adjustment preset then choose more than one file to Apply preset to. IF I choose one file at a time it will usually change that file using Apply preset, but no matter how many files chosen Sync settings will not work.

This happens when going to ACR through Bridge as well as through Photoshop.

I have uninstalled and then re-installed Photoshop and Bridge through CC. Once reinstalled, I was able to sync 8 files but then immediately sync quite working again.

Hi Gregw,

Please follow these steps and let us know if it helps:

1. Update to the latest version of Bridge.

Download the latest Bridge update by going to Help > Updates or from the Adobe website at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html.

2. Reset preferences, reset the default workspace and purge the cache.

You can also purge the cache by doing the following:

Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Bridge > Preferences (Mac OS).

Select the Cache panel.

Click Purge Cache.

Or, you can manually purge the cache by doing the following:

Bridge > Preferences (Mac OS).

Select the Cache panel.

Look at Location and note the path for the Cache folder.

In the Finder, navigate to the Cache folder.

Drag the Cache folder to the Trash (Mac OS).

3. Reset the permissions of Application Support Folder:

In top menu Bar -> Go->Go to folder

Type in ~\Library

Select Application Support right click get info and Under sharing Permissions please change all permission to read and write.

Can you elaborate on step 3? I don't understand... Sounds like a MAC-only step, and I'm on Windows. I've done steps 1 and 2 and still have the issue described by the original poster..
