ACR files not opening in PS

Hello, Having just updated my Windows 10 laptop to the 2023 versions of PS & ACR, after processing a RAW file in ACR using any of the 3 new tabs (select Object, Sky or Subject) the files just will not open in PS. I don't know what I am doing wrong as I'm using ACR in just the same way before it was updated.

If I don't use any of those 3 tabs & use the other masking tools in ACR the file opens just fine in PS.

Please help!

Thank you for your suggestion. I have looked as you instructed but unfortunately I don't see the dialog box you are suggesting.

For now, I have re-installed the previous version of PS, which then automatically starts with the prvious version of ACR.

This has removed the stress of my original problem which is annoying to say the least as all the updates I've ever done have always gone smoothly.

Just for interest, I have had the same problem with my desktop work computer & have remedied in the same way as above - for now.

Many thanks for you suggestions.

Try resetting your ACR preferences, better?

Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (MacOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).

Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"

That was great. All it did was remove all my camera settings, which was a great help as I will have to find some way to get them back. More time wasted and still no fixing the problem. Come on Adobe. You introduce new updates and expect us to find the faults for you. It happens time after time.

You didn't even provide any infor about your problem or like the OP, any information about your system so either start from scratch with a new post or tell us exactly (as Sue did) what your problem with ACR is.

"You" introduce new updates isn't me; I'm simply another user who volunteers to assist users with problems with Adobe products, once said users actually explain in detail what's wrong. So try that first and foremost if you are really here for support.
