Question

ACR Shortcut for saving settings to XMP

Hello,

there are quite some sudden crashes occuring, when working with rather large RAW files in Adobe Camera Raw, especially when making to much use of the retouch tool (ACR v. 14.0.1.1952, Mac OS 10.15.7, MacBook Pro 16" [2019], 32GB Ram).

So I really have to save back changes to XMP/DNG frequently. However, that option is burried in the extended menu and I'm wondering, if there is a shortcut for it (it's not noted in the menu though). That would be very, very, very helpful.

@alexanderschmidt I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

Lets try fixing this crash issue first.

Reset of the Camera Raw preferences:
Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (macOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"

Any better?
