adjustment brush

I have Photoshop CS6. The adjustment brush ( I hope this is the correct name in English) does not work.

Is there a simple method to solve this problem or do I have to install again Photoshop CS6?

No, I don't think so. However if your adjustment brush is on the "top left" then you are using an older version than Camera Raw 12.3. And evidently you and I aren't talking the same language as far as Camera Raw is concerned so I will let you ask your question in a different way, and let someone else try to provide assistance. Sorry I wasn't able to help you.

If you want one area darkened and another area sharpened then it seems to me that you would need two different brush applications, one for each effect you are trying to apply. In both instances you would want to have both density and flow set at 100 in order to obtain maximum effect. Then it would be possible to dial that down if needed.

I think here is a misunderstanding. The brush I have a problem with you can find on Camera Raw on the top left, you can activate this brush with the letter K. With this brush you can change many things as sharpening, colour, brightening, temperature, etc.

This is the first time I use Adobe Community. Is it better to post this item in Bridge or PS (PhotoShop)?

It has been a long time since I have used Camera Raw in Photoshop CS6. Have you checked the flow and density settings to make sure they haven't been set to 0 so that there is no effect from the brush strokes? You haven't given much information about what isn't working.

With the adjustment brush I want part of the  photo darken and an other part sharpen. And it just does not more work. Nothing changes. Density was always 0 but changing it has no effect.
