Question

Adobe DNG in DJI Phantom

Hello all!

I'm not a proffessional photografer but a surveyor trying to take sharp pictures with my drone. The problem is that when I use the DNG format the pictures are blurrier and smaller than the JPG versions of the same picture. On the other hand the DNG file size is bigger than the JPG's files. This makes me think that the DNG is compressed in some way but I can't figure out how to proceed. I am now only using the JPG format  until I have an idea of what is going on...

Thanks

We need to look at one of each. It's possible that the drone isn't writing lossless DNG, or they are not following the DNG spec correctly etc.

What is the format of your original images downloaded from your drone?

How are you converting them to DNG format?
