Adobe please fix ACR sort ability
Like most professionals I shoot two cameras simultaneously. Once my selects are tagged in Bridge or anywhere, I load them all into ACR to make adjustments and process them out. Because ACR displays alphabetically, there is no way for me to edit chronologically and have to edit each scene twice, one from each camera because they are displayed at different places in the filmstrip.
Let me break it down. Scene 1, outdoors, daylight, ocean scene, boats across the water. Camera B, same shot, different lens. Scene 2, boathouse, indoors, sailors celebrating award, on-camera flash, tungsten filter both camera A and B, as before. Move to scene 3, different environment, same settings both cameras. Now figure that's 1000 images shot over the course of a day between two cameras.
Those images (selects) are loaded into ACR. ALL of Camera A displays, THEN ALL of Camera B in the filmstrip based on filename. I can't modify image settings in batches or scenes between with Camera A and B because they are in completely different places in the filmstrip. This is inefficient and wastes time and kills consistency.
Adobe, please give us a simple ability to sort via create date/time in ACR filmstrip!!
