Adobe ProRAW processing in Photoshop

Does anyone have experiene processing Apple ProRaw images in Photoshop? Specifically, keeping the profile as Adobe ProRaw, the slider directly below is "Amount". What does this adjust? Gamma?

Hmmm, not using ACR filter as stated above. Processing in Camera RAW.

You mean like this? 

Have to say, the color appearance with the Apple ProRaw profile isn't to my liking compared to Adobe Standard but YMMV. 

Not sure if there's more here than just a profile, hence the slider; could be profile+LUT, and that's why it shows up. The slider doesn't do anything useful IMHO, compared to again, the Adobe profiles.

Are you opening these files with Camera RAW or using the Camera RAW filter?
