Always get error message when attempting to use Enhance tool in Camera Raw

Has anyone had trouble using the Enhance tool in Adobe Camera Raw?

I always get an error message when attempting to use the ACR Enhance tool:

"Enhance requires a graphics card with Metal support."

I get this error message when processing any file, especially *.jpg and Canon *.CR2 files

I have a relatively new laptop using the latest operating system.

My 2020 13" MacBookPro has a 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Processsor.

I am running MacOS Big Sur 11.6 with 32GB RAM.

The graphics card is an Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB that supports Metal GPUFamily macOS 2, as confirmed by Graphics/Displays in the System Report onmy laptop.

Would appreciate any suggestions to fix this problem within the MacBookPro hardware and/or software.

Thanks,

Ray Frauenholz

Try a Reset of the Camera Raw preferences:
Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (macOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?"

This should work, I have a 2015 iMac with Iris Pro and a 2015 MacBook Pro with Radeon R9 and both work fine under Big Sur for running Enhancement. Does this happen with ANY file? You say especially so does it work sometimes?
