Question

Applying auto settings when converting a raw file

I have a folder of hundreds of raw files.

I like to convert & proces all of them using the auto WB & auto all settings (Exposure, Dontracts etc within Basic panel) in Camera Raw.

I created an action whereby it will do the above. However I noticed the software will only take the auto settings of the first file (which I used to create the action) & apply that to all the otehr files, instead of analysing each fileand apply an auto settings specific to each.

Is there any way to achieve this? Thanks.

From within photoshop you could use File>Scripts>Image Processor and enable the

Open first image to apply settings, which opens the first image into acr.

Did you select ALL the images in the filmstrip?

There is really a much better software solution to do this with the ACR engine: Lightroom.
