This is a known issue with AMD Radeon graphics on macOS Sonoma. Apple/AMD released a buggy graphics driver that causes problems on 14.4 and later. Its unclear if this is fixed, even in macOS 15 Sequoia. Restart your computer or turn off graphics acceleration in the Camera RAW preferences.

Photoshop is running on a powerful Mac OS system with advanced GPU capabilities, ensuring smooth performance for creative tasks.

Is this camera raw too, I thought it was just photoshop that was in Beta mode. It happens in camera raw not photoshop.

Squares in Camera Raw could be from file corruption, software bugs, or GPU issues; try updating the software or turning off hardware acceleration.
