Be smart about using Beta builds

Every so often, someone reports that they have a major problem with some important set of images because a beta or technical preview feature messed things up. This is a gentle reminder to all that "important image" and "beta build" do not go together. If you're going to work with a technical preview or beta feature, always do that with copies or throwaway test images, never with actual working files. No matter how exciting or useful or game-changing an early-access feature looks, unexpected things do happen.

Always have a backup, and a backup plan. Never trust production work to beta software.
