Question

Camera Raw 14 Masks - legacy mode.

I have been using Photoshop for 19 years, since version 5.5 in 2001, and I have never suffered so much with any update as with the new masks mode in the Camera Raw 14. A month has passed since I tried to use the new Camera Raw plugin, and I already understand that it is simply impossible to work. Yes, of course, with the new update, the plugin has more capabilities, the work process does not speed up. I really ask developers to give the ability to use legacy mode for the color and luminosity masks. Otherwise, I see no point in subscribing and such innovations.

Maybe there is an option to install the old plug-in Camera Raw 13 on Photoshop 23?

Because using the new mask mode once is not a problem, but working with a lot of masks in the new mode is just a nightmare.

Thanks

I just had a thought. This may or may not work, I haven't tested it. Bridge can host ACR. Separate an independent from Photoshop.Perhaps you can download an older version of Bridge that supports an older version of Camera Raw. You would have to do all the work from Bridge to ACR. And you would not be able to use Photoshop to host ACR.

Honestly im not so excited from Bridge app as well. Its installed, but i don't use Bridge app simply because workflow is much slower then for example similar XnViewMP. Again, may be if needed to edit one image - no matter, but if you have to work with hundreds raw images a day - you are looking for the faster methods. So of course i can agree that PS 23 with all updates made a huge step to the future,  but there was no sense to update Camera Raw in such way. So... still looking how to use PS23 and CR13

You can downgrade to a previous version of Camera raw, as long as it is supported in its host version of Photoshop.
