Camera raw 17.1, saturation targeted adjusting tool blocked on blues and purple

So, I have another problem with ACr 17.1. Whenever I try to target a certain color and adjust it, I only affect the blue and purple sliders, even if I hover on another set of hues. After a certain time, the cursor lags, and my CPU is 100% slowing my workflow.

So, after writing my reply, I found this thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/camera-raw-bugs/p-hsl-target-adjustment-tool-not-sampling-color-after-applying-denoise/idc-p/15215033#M6120

This is only happening after I denoise an image as the thread says. It has been reported, thought you may want to chime in there too.

thank you ! I've checked and it seems that way.  I hope we will get an update with the problem fixed because it is killing my workflow.

I have this problem too. When I select the Targeted Adjustment Tool, regardless of what color I hover over, blue and sometimes purple are adjusted. I am hovering over a very yellow grasslands area, I would expect yellow, maybe green, to be affected, but only the blue slider is moving. The blue in the sky is changing, but I want to target the yellow. If I move the yellow slider manually, the grasslands are affected. The same occurs with the Point Color selection tool. I click in any area and get a blue swatch, occassionally it will say the color is too dark (when I actually click in an area that is very dark) but otherwise I get only Blue swatches. I have had success by resetting the preferences, but that lasts for a few photos and then this behaviour is back.

I am running ACR v17.2.0.2155 but have had these problems with previous versions as well. I have an Nvidia 4070 Super video card, an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU, and 64GB Ram. The OS is Windows 11, up to date, running on a Samsung M.2 SSD, the data is on a 3TB RAID 1 HDD (Two 3TB drives that are mirrored).

Any help.suggestions appreciated,
Mario
